  • DO-IT (Disabilities, Opportunities, Internetworking and Technology) Video Presentations
    DO-IT serves to increase the participation of individuals with disabilities in challenging academic programs and careers. It promotes the use of computer and networking technologies to increase independence, productivity, and participation in education and employment. You will find information, including links to streaming versions, about DO-IT video presentations.

Reading Strategies

  • Just Read Now
    Just Read Now offers an "up close" look at a range of innovative and effective reading strategies, along with actual classroom examples and associated lesson plans. The Just Read Now strategies can be applied across academic disciplines and learner levels.
  • Idaho State University: Reading Strategies
    Dr Kathleen King put together information on reading strategies. She encouraged you to experiment with different methods and see what works for you. The goal is to develop a reading system which will help you in the long term, not just for this class, but for life.
  • Reading Strategies: Reading Efficiently by Reading Intelligently
    Good reading strategies help you to read in a very efficient way. Using them, you aim to get the maximum benefit from your reading with the minimum effort. This section will show you how to use 6 different strategies to read intelligently.
  • Xavier University: Reading Strategies

  • The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Writing Center
    This site is comprised of strategies designed to assist students writing their papers, using citations, guidance on specific types of paper, and assistance in writing for a targeted field of study.
