Secondary Personnel Day
The Center for Students with Disabilities hosted the 2nd Annual Secondary Personnel Day. You may be aware students with disabilities are the fastest growing minority population in higher education and as a result it is becoming crucial that secondary and higher education personnel work together to create a seamless transition for students with disabilities. The half day program provided information about the University of Connecticut Center for Students with Disabilities (CSD), Admissions considerations, documentation guidelines and learning technologies. And most importantly the day ended with hearing from a student panel where the attendees were given the opportunity to ask questions.
