Survivor: College Edition

Prepare. Plan. Transition.

Survivor

Survivor: College Edition is an informational program where high school students and their family/guardian(s) learn about strategies and technologies that may assist in a smoother transition to the postsecondary environment. This program provides two informational tracks: one for high school juniors or seniors with disabilities planning to attend college and another for their parents and/or family members. Students participate in a simulated college lecture where they practice notetaking skills during a typical fast paced college lecture. In addition participants have the opportunity to participate in an interactive game, “Immunity Challenge” where they learn necessary information related to the transition between high school and college. The day is concluded with a student panel where participants will be able to ask questions and receive candid honest answers.
