Resource for Emotional Health Issues on College Campuses
As the number of college students struggling with emotional and mental health issues continues to be a serious concern, Ulifeline.org has been relaunched by the Jed Foundation. Ulifeline.org is an anonymous and confidential service offered to students who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, and many other issues. Resources are available for students to learn more about mental health, including: alcohol, drugs, stress, sleep, depression and suicide prevention. Additional information regarding the relaunch may be found here.
Congratulations!

Introducing BUILD – a peer mentoring program for students with disabilities developed by the Center for Students with Disabilities.
Have you ever felt like being connected to a peer mentor? Maybe you would like to hear real success stories from a college student who has "been there, done that"? Now you just may be able to.
Are you the one among your friends who knows that CSD offers study spaces and snacks on the Sunday before finals? Do you wish that you could transfer your wisdom as a current UConn student to peers? Now you too may just be able to.
BUILD is a peer mentoring program designed for students with disabilities who access services at UConn’s Center for Students with Disabilities (CSD). This peer mentoring program enables incoming first-year, transfer, and/or current students to seek input on academic, social, and/or disability specific topics. Sharing of information and knowledge among peer mentors and mentees in BUILD’s semi-structured atmosphere can be a powerful tool for college student involvement.
Are you interested in participating in BUILD as a peer mentor or mentee and want to learn more? Come to the BUILD informational session on Thursday, March 22nd, at 5pm in the Center for Students with Disabilities! In addition to FREE Dairy Bar ice cream, you can meet and mingle with current BUILD participants to ask questions and gain insight into their experiences. For more information, please contact Sutha K Kanagasingam, Graduate Assistant, at student1438@ad.uconn.edu or (860) 486-2020. We hope to see you there!
