Beyond Access Programs
Beyond Access is an opportunity for you to work smarter, not harder, in a competitive academic environment while also preparing for the life beyond college. Each program offers a wide range of services that are individualized and go above and beyond standard accommodations mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Beyond Access is a Storrs based program available to enrolled University of Connecticut students, including Regional Campus students. The cost of the program depends upon the tracks that you are interested in participating. Please contact the Center for Student with Disabilities for more information. The cost of participation in this program can be considered in determining your financial aid package. Please contact the Office of Student Financial Aid Services for information at 860-486-2819.
Building Opportunities for Students with Learning Disabilities (BOLD)
A program specifically geared towards college students with learning disabilities and/or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and addresses the unique needs of these students.
Connect 4 (C4)
The Connect 4 (C4) program offers you a unique continuum of career development services that are individualized and go above and beyond standard accommodations. C4 is designed to help you explore your strengths and interests, guide you to become involved on campus, discuss major options, and transition you into employment.
Focused Academic Skills Training (FAST)
Focused Academic Skill Training (FAST) program offers services that are individualized and go above and beyond standard accommodations. FAST is designed to help you learn ways to study smartly and effectively at UConn.
Husky GPS: Getting Prepared for School
Husky GPS offers incoming first-year or transfer students an opportunity to learn about the University of Connecticut in an online extended summer orientation program prior to the start of classes. GPS works to prepare you for a successful transition into UConn, both academically and socially.
Strategic Education for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (SEAD)
Comprehensive academic and social skills training for students with Aspergers.
